I bought two of these thermometers. The first one the battery died after only a few uses. Since the price of a new battery was almost the same as the new thermometer, I just bought another thermometer. I went to go use it this morning and the battery was low and did not give an accurate reading. I only used the second thermometer one time. Both times the thermometer was turned off after using it so I do not know why the battery would die so quickly.

I had the purple CVS BBT thermometer and replaced it with this one when I couldn't find new batteries. I took my temperature three times in a row upon waking up. I had three different temperature readings that spanned 1.5 degrees-doesn't help me much when I'm looking for a temperature shift of >.3 degrees. I can't find the old one in the store anymore,so I'm looking for a new thermomether.
