I bought this a little over 2 months ago and so far we have not any problems with it. There were little to no instructions but a little patience goes a long way. Press the button to turn on, it will have a green screen and you will see an hour glass on the bottom. Wait until you hear 2 beeps then press lightly on the temple and wait for the reading. We have had no issues with inaccurate temperatures and we have taken A LOT of temps the last 2 months. I would definitely recommend this, especially for the price.

wow- this is absolutely the worst thermometer I have ever even seen much less used in my entire life. If I could give it a negative rating, I most certainly would- it does not work, there are no instructions- total garbage. Do yourself a big favor and DO NOT BUY THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I thought that by spending 30.00 I would have a really nice thermometer that would last a while- definitely not the case- going to walgreens next time

Took me quite a while to figure how to work this thermometer. You turn it on and then....after 2 short beeps, place it on your temple. Hold it there until the thermometer beeps one more time. Done! Works great once you figure it out.

I bought this a month ago and it gave inaccurate, inconsistent results right out of the box. Now, a month later, it doesn't even work - the hour glass flashes and then it shuts off (without giving a temperature read). Without packaging and receipt, I'm hoping I can still get my money back. CVS needs to take this product off its shelves.

This product is terrible! Like others, I purchased this to take my son's temp without waking him. It never, ever gave the correct temperature. Even when he obviously had a fever to the touch and other thermometers showed it was over 100, it read normal. Don't waste your money!!

I bought this thermometer for $30 because my son has the flu and I wanted an easier way of taking him temperature so that I didn't have to bother him while he is resting. I can take his temperature (specifically according to the directions# and come up with a different reading 4 times in a row. On top of that, the reading is always incorrect #low) when in fact my son has a fever that is detectable by touch alone. This product is not even worth $5 since it is now going in the garbage because I accidentely threw out the packaging and am unable to return it to the store.

I have 3 kids and decided to invest in a good thermometer that would hopefully last a while. Out of the package this one did not work. When I turn it on, it goes to F 98.6 on the screen, then the screen goes to an hour glass, then the thing shuts off.
I paid full price for this as I thought I was investing in a good thermometer that would last. I should have stuck with buying the $7.00 ones, once a year. I buy a lot of CVS brand items and am usually very satisfied with my purchases.
Stay away from this specific thermometer and don't waste your money. It is a total piece of junk. I'm just worried that I bought it several months ago, when no one was sick and put it into the cabinet and now I won't be able to return it.
