Con: it tells you how to insert it, and to make sure your finger is dry. It must be placed all the way back near the cervix. Well, as soon I get halfway in, the natural moisture from inside me instantly makes this stick to my finger and start disintegrating (which is what it is supposed to do, but not while you are still inserting it) and I end up fighting with it to get it off my finger and up in the right place. So every time I've used it, I am never sure if it is where it is supposed to be. It's almost as if they expect you to be completely bone dry to put this in....
Pros: I have used this several times and I have not gotten pregnant. (So, not sure if it was timing or this product, but it may work regardless#. The other pro is that it lasts a little longer than gels. #Most gels last one hour...this is good for three) I've thought about going to the products that are gels with applicators to help with the problem I wrote about above, but since they only last an hour.... I am learning how to work with this instead.

VCF may just be the easiest spermicidal type contraceptive. No mus-no fuss. Clean and reasonably effective.
