You can't expect it to be super moisturizing when it removes build up (clarifies) but it doesn't dry the hair out as much as the average clarifier. It still tangles my new growth a little and that's before thoroughly detangling before washing my hair

If your hair and scalp are naturally dry, this shampoo will help greatly. Most shampoo will make the dryness worse; but this one left my scalp feeling great, and my hair had a minimum of tangling. This shampoo is very creamy, and you need very little of it to get the desired lathering. My only negative is I didn't know about it sooner.
