How to get it
BonnBonn
Reviewed 5 years agoImpossible to replace batteries.
I love the way this toothbrush brushes my teeth. I find the rechargeable brushes spin too fast and I don't like their lack of control. However, changing the batteries on this toothbrush is horrid. I need to use a vice grip and a screwdriver to pull the cover off in order to put in new batteries. Then I need to use a hammer to get the cover back on tightly. It's ridiculous that Oral-B hasn't figured out a better way to do this. Even the strong men I've asked to help me have had trouble.

We're happy you're loving your Oral-B clean, however, we'd like to see how we can make your life a little bit easier when it comes to the speed of our brush and when it's time to replace the batteries. Since our Pro-Health Clinical handle is compatible with all of our electric/rechargeable brush heads, we recommend swapping out your current head with your Sensitive Gum Care Brush Head. This will give you the gentle clean you're looking for, as each of our heads oscillate/rotate at different speeds, which controls how fast the bristles spin. For replacing the batteries, holding your brush firmly and pressing both dots above the battery cap at the base of the brush, should help make this process easier. When it's time to put the cap back on, push it straight on (no need to twist) and ensure the cap clicks firmly into place. It may take a little bit of force to push it on and snap it into place. If you have any other questions, comments or concerns, we're always here to help. Just simply give us a call at (800) 566-7252 anytime!

Reviewed 5 years agoRecomment with a caveat
I just opened it brand new out of the package, and was not able to get it to turn on. I tried a new set of batteries and no luck. Glad I logged on and read some of the other reviews, and discovered there is a specific way to insert the batteries. It is NOT intuitive. There are some marks on the inside of the battery compartment that made it look like both positive ends were supposed to go in first. That is not correct. And the packaging/label says nothing regarding battery insertion. For others: After removing the battery cover, hold on to the brush with the brush facing towards the ceiling and facing left. Insert the left battery negative side towards the brush, right battery with positive end toward the brush. There ARE small characters on the plastic, under the battery cover and on the outside surface, but they are not easy to see or easy to read. I was able to make it work and am so glad I didn't run back to the store to try and buy another one, I would have had the same problem. Oral-B/Braun > You may wish to consider updating the package labeling, and make that instruction easier to see/read. It will save you some bad reviews......

We always want brushing to be easy, so we're incredibly sorry to hear about your recent Pro-Health Clinical experience. Since your feedback means everything, we'll be certainly to pass along your suggestion regarding our packaging/label. In the meantime, we do want to share that when you remove the cap, you'll see icons on the bottom of the brush handle indicating whether the battery's plus (+) or minus (-) end should be facing towards the bottom. It varies depending on which side of the brush you're looking at. With the On button facing left, insert the left-side battery with the plus (+) end facing down. The battery on the right side should be inserted with the minus (-) end facing down. We can always be reached at (800) 566-7252 for any further questions, comments or concerns!

Reviewed 5 years agohard to change the batteries
The bottom cap where you change the batteries is too hard to remove. Once you pry it off after a big struggle and change the batteries- it is hard to get the cap back on.

Reviewed 5 years agoRequires too many battery changes
I've only had this toothbrush for less than 2 months and I've already had to change the batteries twice. This is ridiculous. I'm using brand new Duracell batteries so it's disappointing that the batteries need to be changed so often. Also, the batteries that are "drained" according to the toothbrush that refuses to work, still have power in them when I take them out to check. I would hope that an electronic like this would only need to be changed a couple times a year, not every 3 weeks. When it does work properly, though, I get a great clean.

Judy, we can certainly understand where you're coming from, and we'd like to see how we can help! We do want to share that our Pro-Health Clinical Brush runs four weeks on two batteries before you'll need to change them. For the best performance, always ensure you're using alkaline batteries, as all of our handles are alkaline based. So we can gather a few more details to help you get the most out of your Oral-B clean, could you please give us a call at (800) 566-7252?

Reviewed 5 years agoExcellent! HOWEVER!
The quailty of the brush and action is wonderful. Love it, love it so much that I ordered a replacement when mine stopped working after 4 months. The motor "locks up" (as if stuck in a barely move gear) when turned to the side or when touching a surface such as your teeth. now my replacement after only 4 weeks is doing the same. Please respond Braun. I want the brush to work, it is the best clean I have ever had. No good if the action is dead.

Reviewed 5 years agoLove the round brush head.
Love everything about the toothbrush but dislike changing the batteries. Removing and replacing the battery cap is difficult especially for a person with arthritis. Should make a screw on cap for ease.

Reviewed 5 years agoDoes not work
I like Oral B manual toothbrushes and thought I would try an electric. I decided to try the battery operated first to see if I liked it. The toothbrush does not work. I tested the batteries and they are fine. I'll be returning it tomorrow. I wish I read the reviews first.

Reviewed 6 years agoDoes not work, very disappointed
I’m very disappointed with Oral B, it used to be my go-to brand. Unfortunately after returning this product twice and neither working, I won’t be buying Oral B again. I tried the batteries they came with and with brand new energizer batteries, nothing worked. Customer representative at the store I bought them at said they had been seeing multiple returns regarding this product. This was an epic fail on Oral-B’s product line. Prior to this I’d used Oral-B for years. I will be switching to another brand.
