I have been using this floss for as long as I can remember and had been a hugeeee fan. But about 1-2 years ago they must have changed something in the manufacturing process because at that point the majority of the time I flossed, the floss would break in half. And it wasn't just one bad batch, this was the case across many different purchases I made over a year. I could not have recommended this high enough before, but because of that I switched to a much less expensive floss. While this new floss I use is definitely not as good, it doesn't break and therefore I like it much better. I really hope they correct this issue.

Reviewed 5 years agoDoes Oral B Glide Floss have Teflon?
The Oral G Glide gloss - Mint flavor is easy to use and works well. However there are conflicting reports that to make it glide better there is Teflon added that can be ingested. Please tell me if that is true. Thanks

I usually do not write reviews but I got so frustrated that I had to write one. I know all the comments by OralB state that the formula has not changed but something did change. It didn’t happen just now but about 2 years ago. I have been buying this product for a long time but in the last 1-2 years the product quality has definitely changed for the worst. It breaks and is so frustrating to keep going back to the container to get more. I used to love this product now it’s only frustrating to use it. I wish they would stop saying “we have not changed the formula “ and actually fix the problem.

Someone below mentioned how wasteful It is to throw away all the plastic cases. Is there a similar product available in larger spools? How about a wall or cabinet mounted dispenser?

always had good luck with this floss its thick enough and hardly ever brakes but this time I had to throw a half of a package away because of the way it was rolled into the package I had two strings that were sticking out I opened it up and got it working for a day then it was just bound up. still going to use your product

My wife and I have used Glide for many years; however, it now shreds and breaks easily. The Glide sample we get from our dental hygienist is stronger and does not shred. It definitely is not the same product.

Almost always breaks in half while flossing... for the price this shouldn’t happen!

I like this floss; my family has been using this for several year. After throwing many empty cases away, I feel it's wasteful to not being able to buy a refill to reuse the case or recycle the case.
