I sometimes get canker sores in the back of my mouth and throat, and it's hard to get the other gel pain relievers in the right place. I also really like it for applying in public or at work. I don't have to excuse myself to the bathroom to put my hands in my mouth (which requires a good hand washing too in order to be sanitary), and I can just discretely slide this in my mouth and apply it at my desk. The only con is that it doesn't last as long as the other gel tube varieties.
