Looks nice but it failed
I have used many pedometers over the last 10 years. Most were Omron pedometers. I bought this one because it was only $20 and it had all the features I wanted. Unfortunately, the pedomete failed after a month. I changed the battery but still no life in the pedometer. I did not l keep a receipt so I couldn't readily ask for a replacement or my money back. Therefore because it failed for no reason I know of, Ido not recommend it.

Very easy to program and use.
Bought this product for my mom. Very easy to program and use. My only concern is that the belt clip is also connected to the battery door that covers the battery cover, so sometimes when u think ur opening the belt clip u may actually open the battery door instead. With some attention being paid while opening and closing the belt clip, this minor problem can be rectified. Other than that, this is a great product. I highly recommend it.

The pedometer is good, but the clip to hold it to your waistband is crummy.
The pedometer has many desirable features and works very well. However, the clip on the back of the pedometer is LOUSY. I have had the pedometer for a week, but have lost it several times because the clip does not hold it securely to my waistband. Luckily the people who have found it returned it to me. I fully expect to lose the pedometer because it falls off so frequently. If I don't lose it, it will probably break from the frequent drops to the hard floor .

Sweet pedometer
I went to the store hoping to replace my old Omron HJ-150 hip pedometer. This HoMedics unit gives me a nice clock display with seconds, useful for measuring heart rate. I also get my steps for the day, the number of miles I've walked, the Kcal I've burned, the speed I was walking, and the total amount of time I spent walking. In addition, I can look at all these values for the past seven days as well. The HoMedics pedometer is smaller than my old Omron, in part because the belt clip is mounted to the unit itself instead of to the battery door, as on the Omron. This does make it a bit tricky to install the battery, but it's worth it to be able to have a smaller device. I like the time display on the default "screen," and have found myself using this like a pocket watch to check time. It's almost like the pedometer aspect is a discrete additional function (and a really cool one at that). I know from using the Omron that these pedometers burn through batteries fairly quickly, but I already have a set of spares I bought for the Omron, and this pedometer uses the same kind of batteries, so I'm set for now.
