There is a hard sugar coating to work through to get to the almond. Have to not bite the hard coating to protect teeth but taking the time to dissolve the coating gives the sweetness before getting to the delicious almond. Love them.

I bought a packet to add into my nut mix to give it some sweet touch but the candy coating is too hard to chew and too dense to melt in your mouth. Don't see a sense in this product.

i know how CVS can get away with selling Jordan almonds--usually a more expensive treat than other candies--in a 7.5-ounce bag for $3.25: The ingredients are actually 6.5 ounces of sugar and 1 ounce of almonds. Seriously, these are so sweet that you can't taste the almond. If I wanted to taste nothing more than sugar, I'd eat sugar or hard candy. Jordan almonds are usually one of my favorite treats, but don't buy these unless you don't like almonds.
