Painful Result
I guess I have had an experience similar to a few other people. I bought this product yesterday and used it today in the shower. I felt a slight burning on my face but assumed that was normal. When I got out of the shower, my face was BRIGHT RED all over the area where the gel and been applied. I assume I am allergic to the active ingredient, but I rarely have reactions. I am conducting research to see if I can find some relief and answers.

Not soothing - caused severe reddness!
I tried this product just one time and my face went from a manageable localized redness to a severe generalized burning and reddened reaction. I immediately rinsed my face further with little relief. This product is NOT for sensitive skin. After use my face felt flushed and tight. This is very dissapointing from such a reputable brand. I put the product directly in the trash!

New Formula, Now My Face is Red Again
I had been using this product for about 3 years, with great results. But recently, I bought a new tube and after just one use my face had gone back to how it looked 3 years ago. I thought it was very strange, but used the product the next day as well and then my face was not only red but hurting as well. That's when I decided to check the ingredients next to an old, empty tube that I hadn't thrown out just yet and noticed that things were not the same. I'm very sad to see this. This product was working amazingly for me, and now after 3 years I'm back to the drawing board; red-faced, scrambling to find a new alternative. Very disappointed...please, please consider going back to the old formula.

Formula must have changed, burns eyes.
I've been a loyal user of the redness relief cleanser for over 4 years. The formula must have changed recently, it now burns my eyes when washing. This never happened before. I thought I had a "bad" batch and decided to purchase one more tube. The second tube also burns my eyes. I'll be searching for a new cleanser.

this product and the entire redness relief line of products
There are so many product lines out there but so few (especially at drug store level) that offer a redness relief line. I inherited beautiful skin but due to foolish sun exposure and a number of other abuses through the years I developed redness on my very fair skin. I happen upon the Eucerin Redness Relief Line and was so thrilled to see a name I knew and these special products. I purchased all three at once. The soothing cleanser is fragrance-free, long lasting, moisturizing, and removes all makeup. I couldn't ask for anything more. Thank you, thank you, thank you

Disappointed
I was really hoping for a cleanser that didn't burn, but no such luck. I'm not sure if it's the fact it still has sulfates in it, or that I'm sensitive to another ingredient. Also I find the consistency for hard to rinse at the sink. Just yuck!
