We cut a small round pill daily & it usually splinters the pill. Sometimes it will slice it but not evenly. We have tried different speeds, tighter fits, etc. with no luck.

I am very tired of trying to cut pills for my cat with a knife so I thought I would try this pill splitter. It does a good job of splitting the pill the problem is the pill is not cut equally in half. I have tried and it cuts the pill about 75/25 instead of 50/50 The pill I''m specifically splitting is very small 5 mg tablet so this may be the problem. I think it would work well for medium size pills or even a pill that is thicker. I do like that it has a shield so the pill doesn't fly out and the splitter is protected so you can't cut yourself as well. It's a good idea but unfortunately it doesn't quite work for me

I have had at least three (3) of these over the years and the exact same thing happened with each: when I attempt to split a smaller pill in half, they're never equal. The little pill usually ends up being 20/30 or 40/10 but hardly EVER 50/50. I now use a sharp pair of scissors to cut tiny pills in half; they come out so much more equal.

I have Parkinson's and this has been the easiest pill cutter for me to use. I would give it an "excellent" rating, if there were some way to pull back the safety shield to clean the blade.
This pill cutter usually cuts clean for me, and I'm a little ocd with wanting them even. When the blade gets dull, it starts to crush and cut them in a wonky way. I need a new one, and it is out of stock! I hope this doesn't mean I won't be able to get this product anymore.

The pill splitter does the job. Does take some maneuvering of the pill to the right spot. Once you've got it there, you're there.

I got tired of cutting up my pills, using a small knife and a cutting board. Sometimes the pills would fly off the board and hit the floor and I would have to find them before the dogs did!!! Our vet used something like this to cut pills for our dog so I decided to try one and I love it!!! No more pills hitting the floor and I can cut pills in halves and in quarters for the dog.

We have been using this product for over four years and couldn't imagine ever living without it again. The rubbery tablet holder securely holds the tablet while allowing the tablets to be centered so the razor cuts them perfectly in half. The blade gives good clean cuts without crushing or crumbling the tablet. Great product!
