I have a tremendous amount of tension in my neck and muscle damage in my shoulders. This pad generates a lot of heat on the neck but the heat to the shoulders is minimal. It has a magnet so it stays in place and never falls off. I find that the neck pad is a bit long for me and it sometimes buckles so I fold it over. When I unplug it so I can walk around while wearing the pad and then plug it back in, I have to completely unplug it from the wall outlet before it will work again, even after I have I turned it off first. I don't know if this is a feature but I don't like that. That's very inconvenient. But overall, it's still a good pad. The price was right and it definitely helps alot!

I've been in PT for a neck compression fracture and possible thorasic outlet syndrome, and using this in the evening has helped relax the muscles so that I can sleep better. I also use it on my hip joint where I have arthritis, and it helps with that as well.

I like the high collar that reaches up to the base of the head, & total coverage of the shoulders, great for tension headachs. It is very soft to the touch. The magnetic clasp is a nice feature too. Cons would be: the cover does not come off, there for is not washable, and the removeable plug, so you can walk around w/ the heat pad on, also a great feature!, is a bit hard to unplug. However, I do have some arthritise in my hands, so it might not be as difficult for others.

I have tried other moist heat pads for my shoulders and neck but they never seemed to stay on my shoulders without slipping off or the unit itself burned out way before its time.
This unit is exactly the right shape and lays so nicely on my shoulders...it even has a "flap" that fits on the nape of the neck to warm up those muscles with ease.
The past moist heat units I have used had a pad that you take out from the soft cover, moisten it in the sink and then return it to the cover. This is the first unit that requires one to use a spray mister to moisten the exterior of the pad. It takes some time to get used to but it still works as a moist heat unit this way. The entire shoulder unit unplugs from the cord which permits it to be washed so after using it moist it is easy to wash and get clean should the need arise.

I constantly suffer from tension, pain and soreness in my neck and shoulders. I was hurting so bad, one day I actually went on my lunch break and purchased this heat pad. I put it on as soon as I returned to the office and was impressed. It was very soft, has 4 settings and even has pretty strong magnets inside on the ends to keep the pad in place, so it doesn't slip off your shoulders. And if I need to get up and go to the copier, it unclips from the cord, giving you freedom to move about. Very good product. Also, my flex plan will reimburse for this.

This heating pad is a great design and makes me quite relaxed. The neck part does heat up and the front has a magnetic closure. Also, the cord unclips from the pad so you can walk around while keeping the pad on your shoulders. Also, the highest setting is really HOT! and the lower setting is nice and warm but not hot. I really like this heating pad.
