In the trash!!
After less than one year, this is in the trash. All directions & trouble shooting were followed to the letter but this vaporizer does not produce steam. I gave this one star simply because there isn't anything lower. Do Not Purchase!

Does NOT steam well, even following troubleshooting instructions!
I bought this a few days ago and cannot for the life of me get it to steam well enough! The other reviews are great. I bought the last one off the shelf and the box looked a little beat up, so perhaps it was previously returned, it also had a weird barcode label on it. I've been adding a pinch of salt at a time and it still won't steam much at all. One night it ran all night without producing much steam and all of a sudden it started making boiling noises and all the water steamed out within 1.5 hours which was too fast. SO, I cleaned it per the instructions and started over and once again cannot get it to steam. I'm beyond frustrated with this product.

Works 10x better than the expensive models
Simple basic vaporizer that actually works! We paid over $100 for a cool mist vaporizer that was absolutely worthless in relieving our infant daughter's congestion. A friend of mine told me to throw it in the trash as it would do nothing but mold over. He was right. We chucked it later and bought this cheap vaporizer from CVS. Add a little salt and you get great steam for hours. Easily crank up the humidity in a room and allow your loved one to breathe. Add little Vicks Vapor Rub on the feet, throw and some socks and voila! You have a child getting a night of rest when they need it most.

Small but gets the job done
I bought an expensive vaporizor that was huge and created a lot of vapor, but somehow it did not help the winter dryness at all. Went back to the old tried and true CVS brand which was about $85 cheaper. It's pretty small but the steam quickly made the room less dry and we're able to sleep a lot better. I wish it were just a bit bigger because I'm afraid it'll run out of water if I sleep in, and I don't care for the night light, but they all seem to have them now. This one isn't too bright. Very quiet

Good Product
My home's humidity was running at 26 percent. My wife and I were experiencing dry irritable noses as a result. We went to the local CVS and purchased two. As most do, I had to add a small amount of table salt to get the steam rolling. Overnight with one refilling the humidity had risen to 36 percent. This increase greatly relieved our dry noses. The humidity continued to rise to 42 percent. Of interest is that this small unit was placed in a large room open to the rest of the house. When the central heat unit runs, the air in the room get distributed to the rest of the house due to air return location. In summary the unit works great. My only negative comment is that the built-in finger grips on the steam unit are poorly designed so that they really make you more likely to drop it than help you lift it out of the tank to refill it. Be sure not to add salt with each refill because once is enough until you fully clean and empty the tank. Having owned it only a couple of days, I can't speak to how long it will last. I'm hopeful because it is US manufactured.

Amazing.
I've got an older model of this Vaporizer, with a blue steam/night light topper instead of the Rose color. That being said, I have used this now for about two colds and it has helped immensely, especially with the Vaporizer fluid added to the water. I used the CVS brand of that, as well.
