I got this product in a combo pack with the daytime and the nighttime. I took the nighttime first and I slept through the night like a baby. I hadn't been sleeping since I got the cold so needless to say I was impressed. The next morning I took the daytime, I didn't notice how well it was working until that dose started to wear off and I felt horrible. I took another dose and shortly after I felt like I didn't have a cold at all. I highly recommend this. I had sneezing, couching, chest congestion, headache, runny nose, and head congestion-it worked well on all my symptoms.

These pills are awful. Instead of buying the usual DayQuil this time, I was told that the CVS brands are generally just as good, so I opted for this. The term as described on the packaging "softgel" is inaccurate. The pills are very hard, large, and with a rather thick gel, a little more than the norm. None of this would really be a problem if they didn't get stuck in your throat every time you tried to swallow them. I have never in the past had problems swallowing pills. But this gets lodged in my throat, which is somewhat painful and extremely uncomfortable and it takes about half an hour of drinking hot tea until the pills dissolve enough for me to be comfortable again. I've tried this medicine twice now, and the problem hasn't changed. So I thought it may just be me, but when my neighbor got sick, he took the medicine and suffered the same thing. As for the medicine itself, it wasn't awesome. It did stop the sneezing, coughing and some aches, and was true to being non-drowsy, however it didn't help with a runny nose or congestion. So you win some, you lose some. But with this product, it seemed I generally lost, with the exception of a newly irritated throat.
