These tablets are very effective in relieving the miserable and annoying feeling of congestion brought on by a chest cold. They began working very quickly, did not make me drowsy and were not upsetting to my stomach. A really good expectorant without unnecessary additional ingredients.

Works well. Single ingredient, which I prefer. But the tablets really need a coating. They taste bad and are harder to swallow than any other med I use.

This is equivalent to original Mucinex. I love the caplet form -- easier to swallow than most competitive brands' thick, round tablets. It is not long-acting, so strictly provides short-term symptom relief. It's great for my frequent bouts of congestion (triggered by allergies) but probably not ideal if you have chronic bronchitis.
