Works on the right or left arm. I needed a sling right away for an injured shoulder and was able to use this right out of the box with some strap adjustment. Since I needed a sling for several weeks, I later went to a specialty pharmacy and purchased a better one. However, for the price, this was fine for my needs for at least two weeks, and casual use around home. My only suggestion is that it would be nice if the strap were wider, with a pad for the shoulder. That would make it better for longer periods.

This is the second sling I purchased - the first was from Walmart. It was very cheaply made & very uncomfortable.
I returned it and went looking for something better. This one is terrific - lightweight, made with breathable material and only $2 more! The only thing this one is missing is a pad where it meets the shoulder but still not a huge issue.

I was given a brace at my doctor's office after a softball wrist injury. When I left the doctor's I kept my arm at an angle which allowed me to feel the least pain. I researched slings and came across this one. I went to the local CVS & made my purchase. What an excellent product. It fit like like glove, offered maximum relief from the injury and is light and airy. I must admit is also looks COOL too! I've seen others & this one was designed for comfort and style. I strongly recommend this item if you are in the market for a sling!

Best sling ever
I have a short arm cast & this sling is so comfortable. Very soft fabric, love the interior pockets and nice soft strap. It does tend to stretch a bit - so not sure if it's sturdy enough for a full arm cast.

I bought this for my wife after she had a breast biopsy. Unfortunately we had to use it again when that biopsy came back positive. But having this little sling has really helped her during her recovery from surgery. It is comfortable, easy to put on and take off, and really helped remind her to keep her arm to her side even after the immediate pain subsided. Her plastic surgeon's office said they recommend slings after mastectomy/reconstruction, but most patients don't use them.
It's an outstanding investment in getting through a speedy recovery!
