I had a problem with hormonal breakouts and clogged pores on my nose. Since using this product I haven't had one breakout and my nose is clear! My DD's are currently using this for their teen acne and it works great for them as well clearing up their skin. Love this product!

Sometimes strong acne washes can be very drying, which I don't find to be the case with the CVS brand, even though I use it with an exfoliating sponge.

This was great when it first came out, it had little scrubbing beads in it and was even better than Pan-Oxyl. Apparently, it was too drying for most acne sufferers because you took out the exfoliating beads and put in moisturizer which I REALLY DON'T NEED AT ALL. Can't there be a product out there for really really oily, acne-prone skin? Please change the formula back as it was supposed to be a cheaper alternative to Pan-Oxyl, and they don't have any moisturizers in it.

I have combination skin, so it is very difficult for me to find a good face wash. This soap breaks up the oil and doesn't over dry my face. I've been using it twice a day, and my skin is looking better than it has in a while. I've tried a lot of different face soaps and this one seems to work the best.

Reviewed 12 years agoCVS steps in after PanOxyl (Stiefel) abandoned it's customers
When PanOxyl (Stiefel) dropped the ball on their Benzoyl Peroxide products they left their customers out in the cold. What was a $10 product you could get at CVS became $70 on Ebay. Many customers contacted PanOxyl and got half-answers about "supply chain problems".
Luckily CVS has stepped in and they are manufacturing an almost identical product. There is a minor difference in texture and the CVS product has a slightly less appealing smell. But hey you can get it, which is more than you can say for PanOxyl.
As for the daily use to clean pores and remove oil it's virtually identical.
