After developing a mild case of gingivitis, possibly related to brushing with bristles that are too stiff, I decided to give this mouthwash a try. After two consecutive nights of use, and using this morning just after brushing, I find I cannot taste food, my tongue is tingly, and I have a terrible taste in my mouth. A little internet research has found this is a common reaction to the primary ingredient, CPC.
Four hours after use, I still cannot taste anything: eggs (w/salt), chocolate granola bar, orange juice - nothing. But still with the bad taste in my mouth, similar to when you get soap in your mouth.
This product should have warning labels and should not be available OTC. There is something very wrong. I just poured the remaining wash down the drain.

I've tried other mouthwash products in the past.
Some of them are okay but I pretty much had the same problems with everyone I tried, bitter taste & burning sensation especially when rinsing the product out of my mouth. But I thank God Crest put out this Gum Care Cool Wintergreen Mouthwash! Not only has it helped my sensitive Teeth, it has helped me stop the bleeding gums I seemed to always have after I brushed my teeth & no more bitter burning when I rinse. Now it's more like breathing in fresh mountain air on a beautiful morning. One month in to using this product and I'm truly amazed at the results. Thank You Crest For Helping Save My Gums And Teeth.

I started using this product after my dentist strongly suggested using an oral rinse to improve gum health and prevent gingivitis. After 2 nights use, I woke up with a mouth full of pain, bumps on and under my tongue and what looks like flat canker sores on my gums. I didn't change anything else in my routine, so I've determined it's a bad reaction to this rinse and will immediately discontinue using it. I've read on other sites that others have also encountered this.

I just started using this mouthwash after my dentist told me i need to watch for gingivitis. I'm on day 4 of using it and i have lost all ability to taste food. I can't believe a mouth wash could do this. It started out slow and i noticed the first morning after i used it that my taste was a little off.. But now I can hardly taste anything at all. Im sure it works great but i might just have to toss this and try a different mouth wash.

I purchased crest gum care mouth wash after a dental visit told me I had signs of early gingivitis and needed to do a better job brushing. I immediately ran out after seeing a commercial for this mouth wash and im truly amazed at the results. Within about a week the bleeding and the redness of my gums was reduced by 95%. The mouthwash doesn't burn and it has an really nice clean after taste. I would absolutely recommend this product to anyone with sensitive gums like myself.

I have always used Crest Mouthwash but I recently found Crest Gum Care on the grocery store shelf and I purchased 33 oz. bottle. It is a pure bottle of Gold after brushing and flossing and a good rinse of Gum Care my mouth feels so clean and my dental checkups are wonderful. Dentist says my gums look better less bleeding and gums look healthier. Dental work on a limited income is not cheap so any money I can save with coupons or good checkups are just money in my pocket. I thank you for helping the bleeding gum problem in this old world.

I purchased this mouthwash due to gum problems. It tastes ok but after a couple days of using it I noticed that there is a soapy taste in my mouth and I can't really taste food. I stopped using it for a few days and it went away but when I started using it again, the weird soapy taste came back after a couple days of using. I have never experienced this with any other mouthwash.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I liked this mouthwash because it left your mouth feeling clean and taken care of. I wasn't a fan of the taste. It wasn't a bad taste but it wasn't a minty fresh that I was expecting. If I could improve one thing of this it would be the flavor but I overall love this mouthwash because of how it left my mouth feeling afterwards.
