Biotene products were invented to fight dry mouth and similar issues, but they do just the opposite in my opinion. All Biotene products I've tried make my mouth feel extremely dry. I have returned each one I've tried. For this product I prefer Plax or the CVS equivalent - CVS Dental Rinse.

The rinse is effective as part of your dental cleaning routine. It tastes like medicine. not your average mouth wash. However, it seems to do a good job of removing the film that causes plaque.

I have been using this product for several months because it really works. I rinse my mouth with it every morning, sometimes during the day, and before bed, and no more cotton mouth. It has a pleasant taste which you swish and rinse only. I buy the big economy size as it is more economical. I also use the gel during the night and the toothpaste when I brush. It's really great!
