What is Beano?
Beano is a food enzyme dietary supplement tablet that helps to prevent gas before it starts. Beano helps to digest gas-causing foods, such as fresh vegetables, whole grain breads and beans. It does this by breaking down the complex carbohydrates, making them easier to digest.
There are three main types of problem foods that may cause gas and bloating. Three possible types of problem foods include grains, beans and vegetables. Beano can hekp provide relief for such problem foods as beets, broccoli, cabbage, onions, chickpeas, lima beans, granola, bagels and more.
How does Beano work?
Beano contains an enzyme from a natural source that works with your body's digestion to break down the complex carbohydrates found in gas-causing foods. These complex carbs are turned into simpler, more easily digestible sugars before they reach your colon, preventing gas before it starts.
When should you take Beano?
It is important to time your Beano dose to help ensure you get the best relief possible. To prevent gas before it starts, take Beano before you eat, or as you are eating, your gas-causing food. Beano tablets can be swallowed whole or chewed before eating your meal.
How often can you take Beano?
You can use Beano when eating problem foods to help reduce gas. The recommended dose is two to three tablets for a typical meal. If you need them at every meal, you would be ingesting up to six to nine tablets each day.
Beano is recommended for use by those 12 years of age and older. Be sure to talk to your pharmacist or doctor before starting beano or any other medication, to make sure it is safe for you to take and does not interact with any of your other medications. Does Beano stop flatulence?
Gas is caused by undigested food passing from the small intestine to the large intestine, where bacteria breaks down the food, producing gas. The most common symptoms of gas are flatulence, abdominal bloating and digestive discomfort. Beano contains a food enzyme from a natural source that works with your body to help break down the complex sugars in gassy foods, helping to make them more digestible and helping to prevent gas before it starts.
