I usually use herbal tea or milk to help me sleep. The difficulty is that then I have to get up to use the bathroom. Using Alteril eliminates this problem, so although I don't use it every night it is something in my arsenal that is there when I want or need an uninterrupted nights sleep.

I am 67 years old and have a 20+ years history of insomnia to the point that I have my days and nights mixed up. My physicians (including a sleep clinic MD) have treated me with a wide gammet of perscription medicines to no avail. I first saw this on TV and finally tried it almost a year ago. It really has helped me a lot. I find that you need to take it about 1 to 2 hours before you want to fall asleep and I self-dose myself to 1 tablet per night. It is really worth a try and I do not feel sleepy when I wake up after 6-8 hours of sleep.

I have tried other sleep aids and most make me groggy in the morning. This one does not. I tried to take just one tablet instead of 2 and that did not work very well. So far after about 2 weeks of taking 2 tabs I go to sleep within 30 min and usually stay sleeping. If I do wake up I am back to sleep quickly. I would rate this a strong 4 stars.

I have insomnia big time. For years I took a prescription to sleep. After deciding to not depend on prescriptions to sleep any longer . I have been seeking alternatives to help me sleep.
So far nothing has worked. I read all the positive reviews on the internet for Alteril and purchased it. I have tried taking one pill, two pills and three pills before bed and I do fall asleep but never stay asleep. I have also tried combining it with Melatonin and I still never stay asleep. I will fall asleep around 10:00 and then wake up around 11:30, 12:00, or 1:00 and then that's pretty much it for the night.

I love this sleep aid! The ingredients in Alteril are gentle, and don't knock you out like others do. They relax me to g to sleep and I don't wake in the middle of the night, and I feel so rested the next day!
No groggyness with this product. I wish there were coupons for this product, because although the product is excellent, I have financial obligation budgets.
But, I do recommend Alteril to anyone who has a hard time getting a good night's sleep!
