Alkalol cleans out mucous better than saline alone. I use the Neilmed Sinus Rinse Kit and add about 1/2 - 1 tsp of Alkalol to the squeeze bottle.
Alkalol is strong medicine... whether you use the included Netti Pot or another means to deliver the solution, it is best to start with a weak solution and build up.
If you're a first time user, be aware that some really nasty stuff may come out of your sinuses... it's worth it, considering that all that junk isn't lurking around inside your head.

I love this stuff. It cleans better than saline packets alone. Very soothing on the nasal lining. BUT... be careful how you measure! The little cup they provide is hard to fill and product gets all over the counter. It just isn't enough liquid to flush the sinuses. Use a regular Netti pot and a teaspoon for measuring. Otherwise, proceed.

I have severe seasonal allergies that will become sinus infection from time to time for the last 12 years that I have been in the USA. I am using Alkalol for 11 years and it helps me a lot. I try to stay away from drugs because they don't work after while but Alkalol helps me better in the long run because it's all herbal and I just feel good and breath good, and have clean mucus. I recommend this to all my friends especially with kids because kids get sick all the time.
