1. Turn item to be hemmed inside out. Before applying Permanent Hem Bonding strip, measure and fold hem into fabric. For best results, press hem with iron form crease. 2. Moisten thumb and fingertips prior to handling strip to prevent adhesive from sticking to fingers during application. 3. Holding by edges and touching as little adhesive as possible, slowly peel strip with attached brown paper backing from white sheet. Carefully position strip with attached brown paper backing inside new hem at crease, making sure hem width will fold to cover entire strip. Rub firmly on brown backing, making sure to press over entire strip. 4. Slowly and carefully peel off top brown backing. 5. Fold fabric on hemline and rub firmly. Tips: If adhesive lifts with brown backing removal. press strip firmly to fabric again and continue to rub until brown backing removes cleanly. A crisp hem can be achieved by placing tape at edge of fold. Garment can be washed in cold water 24 hours after application. Not for use on delicate fabrics. Do not dry clean.
