L Tampons

L tampons offer an organic option for your period protection. Made with organic cotton, L organic tampons leave out unnecessary chemicals while still providing ample protection against leaks. Explore the L tampons available from CVS.

Are L Tampons Good?

L organic cotton tampons are an effective way to prevent leaks during your period. Like other brands, L tampons come in a variety of sizes, ranging from light absorbency to super absorbency, so it's easy to find a product for your flow level. The regular-absorbency tampons absorb 6 to 9 grams, while the super-absorbency tampons hold 9 to 12 grams. You can also grab a multipack with different absorbency levels to keep you covered as your flow changes throughout your period. These organic tampons look, feel and work similarly to conventional tampons but offer fewer chemicals and ingredients. They're also made with 100% organically grown cotton.

Do L Tampons Have Titanium Dioxide?

L organic tampons do include titanium dioxide on the ingredients list. It's a naturally occurring mineral used as a pigment and makes the materials used in these feminine hygiene products appear white. Titanium dioxide is used specifically on the thread attaching the cord to the rest of the tampon and accounts for less than 0.1% of the total ingredients. Other ingredients used in L tampons include polyester to help wick moisture, glycerin to coat the tampons for a smooth feeling and paraffin to also increase smoothness. All the ingredients are researched before being used in these personal care products for periods.

How to Use L Tampons

You can use L organic tampons the same way you would use conventional tampons. They come in two-part applicators like many other brands. You insert the tampon applicator, press the end to insert the tampon and remove the applicator. When you're ready to change the tampon, pull on the string to remove it. The FDA recommends changing your tampons every 4 to 8 hours, whether or not they're full, to reduce the risk of toxic shock syndrome. Some people might find they need to change organic tampons, such as the L brand, more often than conventional tampons since they don't have as many synthetic materials to increase absorbency. You can also pair these tampons with disposable panty liners to prevent leaks.
