I have iron in my well water and Jhirmack Silver shampoo really works for me. I'm very surprised by the comment by the person being disappointed because I feel they are wanting more than what it was intended for. This shampoo has bluing in it and to be used for enhancing silver hair. Is not a dye and is not meant to be used to correct a bad coloring job.

This is the only shampoo that works great with my silver hair. Other shampoo's make it feel and look like straw. Jhirmack makes it shiny, silky, and very soft to the touch. Plus very happy to know CVS carries this product. I don't know of any other shampoo that is made for silver hair.

I had bleached and dyed my hair light brown, and it came out brassy. I used this shampoo, and now my hair is lighter & brassier. I wasted $5.25 on this, when I should have just bought dye instead.

I love Jhirmack shampoo for silver, blonde, color-treated hair. I have been using it for more than ten years and love the lather, :squeaky-clean" feeling AND the price!

Tried this based on the great reviews. I have long hair and this shampoo turned it into a tangled mess. Even after 2 conditioners could not get all the tangles out. I would not recommend for long hair. Did not see much difference in silver color either.

I've used Jhirmack Distinctions Silver Plus Ageless Shampoo for a couple years now to keep my graying hair from getting that yellow look. I usually start with another shampoo and used this after. It has a clean nice smell as well.
