Reviewed 8 years agoWhat sensitive skin?
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] U have tried many competitive brand of shave gel and had pretty much given up. I had accepted the fact that there wasn't anything out there that was going to keep my sensitive neck from razor burn and bumps. As a result I had condemned myself to use what ever soap my kids were using in the shower to shave with. After a few shaves with Gillette ultra sensitive the difference was as plain to see as the beard in your face. An awesome product with great results! Would recomend!

Reviewed 8 years agoSmooth As Eggs!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thank you Gillette for letting me try out a full size bottle of the Hydra Gel Ultra Sensitive Skin shaving gel. I first shaved for about a week with a dull razor and had no issues with nicks, cuts, or burner.
There is minimal fragrance and it lathers up great.
I let my facial hair grow into a beard and hit it with a semi-fresh blade while showering; Smooth as eggs! No irritation.

Reviewed 8 years agoNothing to write home about...
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When it comes to shaving gels, the Gillette Fusion Ultra Sensitive Shave Gel falls flat in the middle. While marketed for sensitive skin, I was surprised to see how fragrant the product was once applied to the skin. I was afraid this was going to spur a break out... but several days later I am still rash free. The gel lathers as you'd expect when you apply it and the directions are picture based and simple to follow. Compared to other gels I have used, this one did not seem to soften the hair as much as I am used to. Even after letting it sit for a bit I could still feel the razor tugging at hairs instead of gliding smoothly. I had even made sure to use a brand new head on my Gillette Mach 3. Still, I was able to get a decent shave... not the closest shave I've ever managed, but completely adequate. In the end, the gel handled my extremely sensitive skin just fine but it did not provide the most comfortable shave. While I wouldn't suggest staying away from the product, there is nothing that draws me to it either. It does what it advertises and I would use it again if I have it on hand, but there are gels out their with less perfume and better hair softening agents.

Reviewed 8 years agoGillette shave gel
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This gillette shave gel is by far the best choice. It works great on my sensitive skin by moisturixing and cooling. It makes my razor glide accrosd my skin and leaves my face smoothe and refreshed. No more nics or razor burn. A++++

Reviewed 8 years agoThat was somewhat of a close shave
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Lathers up pretty well with little shaving cream needed. However not a smooth a shave as the shaving cream I currently use. The shaving cream in not as thick ever. Prefer my current brand.

Reviewed 8 years agoNew favorite
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I feel I just found my new favorite shaving gel I was using Schick shave gel for sensitive skin and no matter what blade I used my face never got as smoothed as when I used the Gillette fusion gel. While using this new shave gel my wife noticed that my face became a lot smoother and not dry at all. I totally recommend this shave gel to anybody that is in the market for a new gel or someone with sensitive skin I will buy this again.

Reviewed 8 years agoI love it!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I shave my head and my neck. My neck is really sensitive. I usually have no problem unless I start sweating. Then I break out in a red, itchy, razor burn like rash. I work in a very hot factory and do stuff around the house, mowing, maintenance, etc. So this is a rather annoying problem. I used the Gillete Fusion Hydragel, and loved it. I was building a closet in my house, yesterday. So I was in and out, for a few hours, sweating like crazy. I had no problems my neck breaking out at all. That makes me a happy dude. I'll be throwing the remainder of my usual brand in the trash!

Reviewed 8 years agoA great shave with no cuts or irritation
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm reviewing Gillette Fusion Hydra Gel Ultra Sensitive, thanks to a promotion from Gillette and BzzAgent.
I'm a guy that shaves not only his face, but also his head. The only thing more unpleasant than a face full of cuts and irritation is a head full of cuts and irritation. Sure, the razor I use is important, but so is the shaving gel.
I'm pleased to report that Gillette Fusion Hydra Gel Ultra Sensitive does what it's supposed to do. I lather up my face and head and wait a few minutes to let the gel hydrate my hair follicles. The shave is clean and comfortable with no cuts or irritation. After the shave, my skin is soft and moisturized.
I chose the Ultra Sensitive version because I sometimes get razor bumps on my neck. During the time I've been using this, my neck has had less bumps and redness after the shave.
Even if you don't have very sensitive skin, it couldn't hurt to use a more skin friendly formula. Overall, I recommend this shaving gel to anyone that shaves.
