I definitely think it takes some practice to get this inserted just right - the right fold, telling yourself to relax your pelvic floor muscles and getting it in comfortably. It's really nice to have a much less messy period (though removing it is a little messier than a tampon sometimes). One downside is you can't always tell how heavy your period is until you take it out, but that's kinda nice I guess. Great product, glad I bought one!
