Why does the mounting mechanism on the raised toilet seat look and work like this?

Attaching and removing a raised toilet seat is usually hard to do. We wanted a way for people to quickly and easily attach and remove our raised toilet seat so there was no impediment to comfortable toilet use for everyone in a household. There are two clamps that you press with your hand until they touch your toilet bowl. These clamps are always locked, so there is no twisting, turning or need for tools. To release a clamp, press the button above it and the clamp will pop out quickly.

How do I install the Michael Graves raised toilet seat?

The Raised Toilet Seat should be installed directly on the toilet bowl rim. Raise the existing toilet seat and lid. Press the button above each clamp to ensure the clamps are fully extended. The clamp pads should be towards the back of the Seat. Place the Seat on the rim of the toilet and slide it back until the front lip of the Seat is against the front rim of the toilet bowl. (Remove the existing toilet seat if it interferes.) With the Raised Toilet Seat centered on the toilet bowl rim, slide each clamp inward until they both contact the toilet bowl. Make sure both clamps are fitting tightly against the toilet bowl.

How do I remove the raised toilet seat?

Simply press the button above each clamp to release them. The clamps pop out automatically when buttons are pressed. Lift the Seat off the toilet.

What should I do with the raised toilet seat when it’s not in use?

Clean it thoroughly before storing. (Do not submerge when cleaning.) When not in use, the Raised Toilet Seat can be stored standing on its back next to the toilet or in a nearby closet.

Can I travel with the raised toilet seat?

Yes you can, and if you need one, you probably should. Whether going to visit family, staying in a hotel, or simply going out to dinner and movie, a raised toilet seat makes for a safe and comfortable experience. Just find the right size tote, and you have freedom in a bag.

Why is there a hole in the back of the toilet seat?

This unique design feature is used to drain any water that may enter the seat during cleaning. Please do not submerge the seat at any time.

What is the best way to clean the toilet seat?

Clean with warm water and mild soaps. Thoroughly dry the seat before re-use.
