CURAD Universal Stirrup Ankle Splint

INTENDED USE: To provide support for ankle instability, weak or injured ankles, mild to moderate sprains or strains and after cast removal.

APPLY: Brace should be worn over sock. Position the rigid plastic shells on each side of the ankle.

ADJUST: Adjust bottom hook-and-loop strap if necessary to accommodate width of the foot.

SECURE: Wrap leg straps around the leg and secure with the hook-and-loop fasteners. Readjust if necessary for proper fit and comfort.

TO ADJUST FIRMNESS: Unfold valve on top of air cushion and insert clear tube (included). To inflate, blow into tube. To deflate, gently squeeze air cushion to remove excess pressure (air). Once desired firmness is achieved, remove the tube and fold down.

The stirrup ankle splint should provide compression but should not be so tight that it restricts circulation. Consult physician or therapist if experiencing pain or swelling.
