It is effective in the control of earwigs, sowbugs, cutworms, crickets, grasshoppers, ants (except fire ants, harvester ants, pharaoh ants and carpenter ants), armyworms, millipedes, pillbugs, darkling beetles, slugs, and snails. Easy to use, quick and economical CORRY'S INSECT KILLER resists rain and sprinkling and remains effective in the garden for many days.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

It is a violation of Federal law to use this product in a manner consistent with its labeling.

RESTRICTIONS: Do not apply this product in a way that will contact other persons or pets, either directly or through drift. Keep people and pets out of the area during application. Do not allow children or pets to contact treated area until dust has settled. Avoid applying bait in piles that may attract pets.

This product may only be applied by sprinkling directly from the original container to the soil in the area to be treated. Do not apply by hand, spoon or belly grinder. Apply when air is calm. Start applying at the farthest corner of the treatment area and work backward to avoid contact with treated surfaces.

TO APPLY: This product is intended only for outdoor use in home and garden areas. Apply to the soil surface in infested areas as stated in the Product Application Chart. Be sure area to be treated is damp. In dry weather, water well before applying bait. Preferred baiting time is in the evening.

CORREY'S INSECT KILLER can be used around the following flower/ornamental, fruit and vegetable plants. Do not apply to foliage or edible parts of the plant. Sprinkle this product evenly to the soil surface around individual plants, between rows of plants and/or as a barrier treatment around plants that you wish to protect.

STORAGE AND DISPOSAL
PESTICIDE STORAGE: Store in a cool, dry, locked location out of direct sunlight, in original container, and not accessible to children or pets. Avoid contamination of feed and foodstuffs.
PESTICIDE DISPOSAL: If partly filled: Call your local solid waste agency for disposal instructions. Never place unused product down any indoor or outdoor drain.
CONTAINER DISPOSAL: If empty: Nonrefillable container. Do not reuse or refill this container. Place in trash or offer for recycling if available.

PRECAUTIONARY STATEMENTS
HAZARDS TO HUMANS AND DOMESTIC ANIMALS

Causes eye irritation. May be harmful if swallowed. Avoid breathing dust. Avoid contact with skin, eyes, or clothing. Wash thoroughly after use. Keep out of reach of children and domestic animals.

This pesticide may be fatal to dogs or other pets if eaten. Keep pets out of treated area. Bait may be attractive to dogs. Confine pets during application to prevent them from believing they are being fed.

USER SAFETY RECOMMENDATIONS
  • Wear long sleeved shirt, long pants, shoes plus socks and chemical resistant gloves, such as polyethylene or butyl rubber or neoprene rubber or viton when applying this product.
  • Change clothing as soon as possible after use.
  • Wash the outside of gloves before removing. As with any pesticide product, wash hands thoroughly immediately after handing and before eating, smocking or using the toilet.
ENVIRONMENTAL HAZARDS

This product is extremely toxic to aquatic and estuarine invertebrates. To protect the environment, do not allow pesticide to enter or run off into storm drains, drainage ditches, gutters or surface waters. Applying this product in calm weather when rain is not predicted for the next 24 hours will helps to ensure that wind or rain does not blow or wash pesticide off the treatment area.

FIRST AID

This product contain N-methyl carbamate that inhibits cholinesterase.

If in eyes:
  • Hold eye open and rinse slowly and gently with water for 15 - 20 minutes.
  • Remove contact lenses, if present, after the first 5 minutes, then continue rinsing eye.
  • Call a poison control center or doctor for treatment advice.
If swallowed:
  • Call poison control center or doctor immediately for treatment advice.
  • Have person sip a glass of water if able to swallow.
  • Do not induce vomiting unless told to do so by the poison control center or doctor.
  • Do not give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.
If on skin or clothing:
  • Take off contaminated clothing.
  • Rinse skin immediately with plenty of water for 15 - 20 minutes.
  • Call a poison control center or doctor for treatment advice.
If inhaled:
  • Move person to fresh air.
  • If person is not breathing, call 911 or an ambulance, then give artificial respiration, preferably by mouth-to mouth, if possible.
  • Call a poison control or doctor for further treatment advice.
POISONING HOTLINE
Seek medical care as soon as possible after exposure. For incidents involving animals, seek veterinary care as soon as possible after exposure. Have the product container or label with your when you call a poison control center or doctor or veterinarian, or when going for treatment. Metaldehyde is a systemic toxin. There is no antidote. The following instructions are not intended for laypeople. There is no home treatment. Exposed individuals and animals should receive emergency care as quickly as possible.

NOTE TO PHYSICIAN: Carbaryl is a moderate, reversible cholinesterase inhibitor. Atropine is antidotal. Dust inhalation is usual route of accidental exposure; the product is rarely ingested. Treatment for metaldehyde is symptomatic and supportive. Monitor severe exposures closely: seizures, electrolyte imbalances, acidosis, dehydration, and increased body temperature have been reported.

NOTE TO VETERINARIAN: Animals typically are exposed via ingestion. Treatment for metaldenyde is symptomatic and supportive. If significant ingestion suspected and the animal is asymptomatic, consider induction of emesis or gastric lavage and administration of activated charcoal, cathartic and enema to limit absorption. Monitor asymptomatic and symptomatic animals closely. Treat seizures, electrolyte imbalances, acidosis, dehydration, and increased body temperature. Monitor liver function post recovery.
