Sensodyne Toothpaste

Sensodyne is a toothpaste brand that has created unique formulations for nearly 60 years. It's the number-one dentist-recommended toothpaste brand for sensitive teeth. Sensodyne Toothpaste provides the benefits of fluoride, cavity protection, fresh breath, and whitening while providing those with sensitive teeth a way to brush without pain. It also helps to protect the enamel to reduce the symptoms of tooth and gum sensitivity.

Sensodyne Pronamel

The Sensodyne Pronamel line comes in several formulations including Mineral Boost, Enamel Repair, Whitening Action, Intensive Enamel Repair, Gentle Whitening, and many others. This toothpaste actively repairs acid-weakened enamel while protecting your teeth against the effects of acid erosion. When you brush with Sensodyne Pronamel twice a day, you'll get fresh breath, healthy teeth, and restore its natural whiteness. Pronamel is Sensodyne's most advanced formula and locks in repairing minerals that absorb deep into the surface structure of enamel. It can repair microdamage and repair enamel strength while leaving your teeth stronger and more protected against damage.

How Does Sensodyne Work?

Sensodyne contains potassium nitrate, a salt that affects the nerve's ability to send signals to the brain. When used in toothpaste, it's able to penetrate the small pores in dentin to help calm nerves and make them less sensitive. In order to get results, you should brush with Sensodyne twice per day or more for at least two weeks, because it may take a while for the formula to work. Fluoride compounds in Sensodyne work to fight tooth sensitivity by blocking the tiny pores in the dentin of your teeth. When these microscopic holes are plugged, you won't feel the sensations of hot, cold, or sweets since they cannot reach the nerves. The brand's Rapid Relief, Repair & Protect, and Complete Protection formulas have stannous fluoride which has an antibacterial action that can kill bad bacteria found in dental plaque.
